LAUTECH to screen students for drugs to curtail abuse

Vice Chancellor of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso,  Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu,  has disclosed the resolve of his administration to ensure that all students of  the Institution go through screening for drugs to ensure that they do not abuse drugs and other related substance.  Speaking recently while being honored with the prestigious Kwame Nkrumah Award of Excellence by leadership of Grow Africa Youth Initiative (GAYI), the Vice Chancellor said LAUTECH was ready to collaborate with any organisation whose preoccupation was to build a  worthwhile future for future leaders of the Nation.  Explaining the harmful effects of abuse of drugs on users and the economy, Kalilu disclosed that the University which had hitherto introduced screening for drugs to new entrants in the University, explained that Management was working to ensure that all students (fresh or returning) undertake drug screening at one point or the other ...

HRH-CERID, LAUTECH extends deadline for submission of abstract

Organisers of the International conference, titled " Intersection of Genomics, One Health and Climate Change", scheduled to take place in LAUTECH,  Ogbomoso,  between October 26 and 30, 2025, have extended deadline for submission of abstract to August 24, 2025. LAUTECH out with requirements for 2025/2026 undergraduate admissions

2025/2026 Admission Candidates who applied to Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, as their first-choice institution in the 2025/2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) or Direct Entry (DE) have been informed about the opening of admission portal for online registration with effect from Friday, 25th July 2025. The portal would remain open till Wednesday, 20th August, 2025. General Requirements are: 1.    UTME Candidates must have scored a minimum of 170 marks in the 2025/2026 UTME to be eligible for screening. 2.    Candidates must upload O'Level results to JAMB Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) before 20th August, 2025. 3.    Candidates must be at least 16 years old by 30th September, 2025 to be eligible for admission. LAUTECH Nano Research group excites TETFund Team

A team of monitors and evaluators from the TertIary Education Trust Fund (Tetfund), led by Professor Lale Ndowa, has expressed  satisfaction with the level of work done by the Research Team of Professor Agbaje Lateef on "Microbial valorization of keratinous wastes for eco-friendly production of protein- rich keratin hydrolysates (PROKEH) as biofertilizers."
