TETFUND okays NRF beneficiaries works

   A team of monitors from Tertiary Education Fund (TETFund) that visited the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, has expressed satisfaction with the pace of work of beneficiaries of the National Research Fund, dispensed the Fund. Led by Professor Chidi Okereke, the team said it found the researchers' works and the equipment with which they conduct their researches okay. "We are not to rate their works but we are pleased with what we have found here and shall make our reports on this available to the leadership of TETFund. Earlier in his welcome address to the team, Vice Chancellor of the Institution, Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu praised the leadership of TETFund for the unquantifiable assistance that it has brought to higher education in the country. FPAS receives equipment form cheerful donor

 The Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, has received yet another set of equipment from a well wisher of the Faculty. Receiving the equipment, which is a set of LED digital Projector on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu, Dean of the Faculty, Professor Olusope Alade said such kind gestures are appreciated because of its contributions to deepening of knowledge.  The equipment donated by the Oyo State Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Professor Dahud Kehinde Sagodoyin, was delivered to the Faculty by a delegate headed by the Acting Rector of the Ibadan Polytechnic, Dr. Taiwo Abideen Lasisi. LAUTECH receives Engineering equipment from NIBBRI

  Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute (NIBRRI), has donated a multi million Naira Engineering Equipment to the Department of Civil Engineering at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso The Equipment received on behalf of LAUTECH Vice Chancellor, Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Strategy and Development) Professor Tunde Ogunkunle was as a followup to the promise made by the Director General of NBRRI, Professor Samson Duna who fulfilled his promise to donate some equipment to the Department of Civil Engineering, LAUTECH. LAUTECH wins maiden Hack4Livestock Hackathon contest

      To close the week, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has been declared winner of the maiden edition of the Hack4Livestock Hackathon cometition which held in Abuja between May 19and 22, 2025.  The National event was organized by the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy through the National Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (NCAIR) in collaboration with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).   LAUTECH’s team, tagged "Team Agro-Alliance," comprised of Saka Muhammed (Mechanical Engineering), Olusanya Ayodeji (Electrical and Electronics Engineering), and Ojoawo Rosemary (Electrical and Electronics Engineering); and was mentored Director Of Emerging Skills and Technologies of the University, Professor Tesleem. FPAS plans 9th Lecture

  The Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso, has announced the 9th in the series of its Faculty lecture holding on Tuesday 3rd June, 2025 at The Hall, LAUTECH main campus, Ogbomoso at 12 noon prompt. The lecture titled "Environmental Toxicants: The Unseen, the Unavoidable, and the Unforgiving Threats to Life" will be delivered by a Professor of Biochemical and Environmental Toxicology, Prof. Olusegun Kayode Afolabi of the Department of Biochemistry of the Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences.
