VC echoes family announcement for burial of Professor Olabode

 Vice Chancellor of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu, with a mournful heart, has directed that the University Community be informed that the family of Late Professor Olayinka Samuel Olabode hitherto of the Department of Crop Protection and Soil Science, in the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the University, has announced that his remains will be buried on October 2nd and 3rd, 2025. Commendation service in his honour holds on October 1st, 2025. LAUTECH consolidates presence among top 2% global scientists

LAUTECH has once again demonstrated her scholarly feat in the just released list of top 2% scientists worldwide as published by Elsevier/Stanford University, USA.  The list parades top scientists which are evaluated annually based on the metrics from scopus, a renowned world leading academic database.  In the 2025 edition, 291 Nigerian scholars affiliated with institutions within the country appeared in the latest ranking. While eight scholars affiliated with LAUTECH are on the 2025 list, six of them belonged to members of academic staff, and two were former students of the University who continue to affiliate with LAUTECH, through their mentors. At its debut in 2020, LAUTECH had three of her scholars on the list for four years, which rose to five scholars in 2024, and now six in 2025.  The current list parades late Prof. Abass A. LAUTECH emerges winner of UI Student Union Inter-Campus oratory Competition

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has again on September 4, 2025,shown class at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan, Ibadan. LAUTECH won the University of Ibadan Students Union Inter-Campus Oratory Competition, organised in collaboration with L-H Investment. The Thirty-five year old Oyo State owned LAUTECH defeated the prestigious University of Ibadan, Lead City University and The Polytechnic of Ibadan to the 2nd, 3rd and 4th positions respectively. The highlight of the day was when the duo of Adekunle Ayomide of the department of Mechanical Engineering and Olatoyinbo Ayomide of Medicine and Surgery, representing LAUTECH at the competition, clinched the First Place Winner, thereby winning the prize of Two Hundred Thousand Naira. The Victory further reinforces LAUTECH students' reputation as High Achievers and Students of Excellence.
