Doctoral students of Professor Oloke endow Award of One Million Naira in his name  Former Doctoral students of renowned Professor Julius Kola Oloke, at the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, this afternoon, honoured the renowned Professor of Microbiology and Biotechnology, through an endowment of One Million Naira(N1,000,000:00) only. To be known as 'Professor Julius Kola Oloke Prize for the Best Graduating Student in Microbiology' with cash award of one Hundred Thousand Naira to be awarded at the first-degree convocation ceremonies of the University, it is to be managed by the University. LAUTECH matriculates 9,590 fresh students, urges compliance with rules and regulations

The Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, this morning at a colourful matriculation ceremony formally admitted to 9, 590 new students into the membership of the University community. The Freshers are being brought in to study for their first degrees in the various Departments of the Institution wholly owned by the Oyo State Government. In his address at the event, Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu, admonished the students to count themselves lucky to have been admitted into the University which he said is steadily growing in leaps and bounds since Governor Seyi Makinde led Oyo State Government to take full ownership of the Institution. LAUTECH inducts second set of theatre Arts Students

Photographs of dignitaries and students taken at the 2nd induction of Theatre Arts Students of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, this afternoon at the Great Hall of the University.  Invited Nolywood icons at the event included the Head, Theatre Arts Department of the Lagos State University of Education, Dr. Azeez Oyetoro aka Saka and former Arts Director of the Kwara State Council for Arts and Culture, Olori Adeola Olanipekun , Amin others. Vice Chancellor of LAUTECH, Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu, during a courtesy call on him and other members of Management said the University was poised to capture the area of entertainment and produce well grounded professionals like it has done in other areas of human endeavour. LAUTECH announces new date for 71st Inaugural Lecture

LAUTECH announces new date for 71st Inaugural Lecture  Management of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has announced January 22, 2026, as the new date for the Institution's 71st Inaugural Lecture. It was put on hold because it fell due during the end of the year holiday declared by Management for staff and students of LAUTECH. To be delivered on behalf of the Faculty of Nursing Science of the Institution by Professor of Public Health Nursing, Florence Oluyemisi Adeyemo, the Inaugural Lecture will be preceded by a free medical screening for staff and students. The attached invitation is to guide those who will be attending. The title of the Lecture is Public Health Nursing as a Frontline Profession in preventive Health Care. It is scheduled to start at 12 noon. Meanwhile, guests are expected to be seated by 11:45 am at the Great Hall Venue of the Lecture at the Main Campus of the University in Ogbomoso.

NSE induct 556 new engineers from LAUTECH

NSE induct 556 new engineers from LAUTECH  Not fewer than 556 new engineering graduates of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology ( LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, were inducted into the profession of Engineering this morning. At an event jointly organised by the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, President of the NSE, Engr. Ali Alimasuya Rabiu, urged the new inductees to focus on what they could contribute to make the Nigerian society a better place. Represented by Chairman of the Pioneer (Ibadan) Branch of the NSE, Engr. Ayokunu Olukunmi Ojedele, the President congratulated the newly admitted professionals and admonished them to remain good ambassadors of the NSE. LAUTECH plans matriculation ceremony for fresh students.

Managementvof the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has concluded plans to hold matriculation ceremony for 2025/2026 academic session, for new students admitted to study for their first degrees in the Institution. Registrar of the University Mrs. Olayinka Balogun, said the event which holds at the Great Hall, LAUTECH Main Campus, Ogbomoso, has been scheduled for Friday January 16, 2026. According to her, students and guests are expected to have taken their seats by 8:30am for the programme to commence at 9:00am.
