Change in venue of 73rd Inaugural Lecture



This is to inform all and sundry that the venue of the 73rd Inaugural Lecture of LAUTECH, coming up tomorrow, has been changed from the Great Hall of the University to the 1500 seaters hall, College of Health Sciences of the University, opposite the Ogbomoso Recreation Club.

All other things remain as previously announced.
We regret all inconveniences the change may have caused.

VC echoes family announcement for burial of Professor Olabode

 Vice Chancellor of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu, with a mournful heart, has directed that the University Community be informed that the family of Late Professor Olayinka Samuel Olabode hitherto of the Department of Crop Protection and Soil Science, in the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the University, has announced that his remains will be buried on October 2nd and 3rd, 2025. Commendation service in his honour holds on October 1st, 2025. LAUTECH to screen students for drugs to curtail abuse

Vice Chancellor of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso,  Professor Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu,  has disclosed the resolve of his administration to ensure that all students of  the Institution go through screening for drugs to ensure that they do not abuse drugs and other related substance.  Speaking recently while being honored with the prestigious Kwame Nkrumah Award of Excellence by leadership of Grow Africa Youth Initiative (GAYI), the Vice Chancellor said LAUTECH was ready to collaborate with any organisation whose preoccupation was to build a  worthwhile future for future leaders of the Nation.  Explaining the harmful effects of abuse of drugs on users and the economy, Kalilu disclosed that the University which had hitherto introduced screening for drugs to new entrants in the University, explained that Management was working to ensure that all students (fresh or returning) undertake drug screening at one point or the other ...
