LAUTECH Faculty of Nursing Sciences to hold Valedictory Lecture in honour of Prof. Florence Oluyemisi Adeyemo August 5

The Faculty of Nursing Sciences, College of Health Sciences, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), will on Wednesday, 5 August 2026, hold a valedictory lecture in honour of Prof. Florence Oluyemisi Adeyemo.

The lecture, organised to celebrate Prof. Adeyemo, a Professor of Community/Public Health Nursing, and recognise her invaluable contributions to LAUTECH, will take place at the 1,500-Seater Lecture Theatre of the College of Health Sciences, beginning at 12:00 p.m.

The guest lecturer is the Dean, Faculty of Health Sciences, Bowen University, Iwo, Prof. Deborah Esan, who will deliver a lecture titled, 'Empowering Communities, Transforming Lives: Celebrating the Enduring Legacy of a Nurse Legend in Nigeria'.

The event will be chaired by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Razaq Olatunde Rom Kalilu, while the Registrar, Mrs Olayinka Olanike Balogun, will serve as Chief Host. The Provost, College of Health Sciences, Prof. A.I. Olugbenga-Bello, is the Host, while the Acting Dean, Faculty of Nursing Sciences, Dr. Ganiyat Adeniran, will serve as Co-Host.

The valedictory lecture will be preceded by a programme tagged 'Appreciation and Recognition of Meritorious Services' in honour of Mrs. D.A. Adeniran, Dr. G.O.G. Oyadiran, and Dr. O.Y. Makinde. The programme will commence at 10:30 a.m. at the same venue
